Tuition for children
Tuition for children
Do you primary schoolers have external tuition? Does it help them on the scores?
A very busy parent .... I have no time for myself.

Re: Tuition for children
Many children do have external tuition as the subjects are quite grueling especially on the upper levels. So usually if the child does not have tuition, may not be able to keep up with the class, and teachers might call up parents.

Re: Tuition for children
There is a tuition agency that offers free e-learning for past exam papers when you get a tutor.
The students can just login and practice on the website without the need of buying stacks of exam papers.
Contact me if you are interested.

Re: Tuition for children

Re: Tuition for children
I guess it also depends on individual. Like myself back then. when i was in primary school, my results was average, after attending tuition, my result got worse. It dropped. So I stopped going for tuition, my results was back to the average result.
Especially Maths. As school and tuition may teach different format. Hence children will be confused. Especially young primary schoolers. Unless tuition teacher is able to follow up with the solving method of what the child's school teacher taught.
Otherwise, it will lead to confusion for them

Re: Tuition for children
Hi! I was wondering if tuition (and what kind?) is effective for helping children who are weaker academically? I'm actually a final year university undergrad doing a project on the problems parents have with finding tuition for their children and any other feedback. Would appreciate any sharing/ feedback that comes my way.
Here's a short and anonymous survey: https://forms.gle/bKPCPQczFkZS3Pvx7
Thank youu for your feedback!

Re: Tuition for children
Hi! Sorry if my post is a bit unrelated, but are there any good tuition centres to recommend for JC students? My son is currently studying in Tampines Meridian JC as a JC2 Science stream student. I'm quite worried for his academics as he got conditionally promoted to JC2 and finds it hard to cope with H2 Physics and H2 Maths in school.

Re: Tuition for children
After since school has been suspended temporarily, my kids have been falling behind in school. Luckily through online tuition, they are able to catch up in their studies now that school has reopen. Consider engaging a home tutor from a tuition agency if you are concerned!

Re: Tuition for children
You can skip it, primary school does offer free remedial for students who are weaker in that subject. And it's free and through their own teachers.
