Although the virus is transmitted through respiratory droplets and saliva, swimming is actually one of the safer sports, said an infectious diseases expert.

Nope...chlorine kills the virus.

It's not impossible. Especially when we are talking about mutations.

But the swimming pool itself, with chlorine and plenty of UV rays from the sun, likelihood of anything happening is very slim.

Still, mucous in the water can be accidentally touched, swallowed and worse from one person to another. And mucous would protect the virus from chlorine and UV rays.

Should be quite unlikely and also because there's a restriction to no of pax in the pool each time. Just avoid being too close to strangers.

Yes if above water and someone sneezes or talks to you when he/she has the virus.
