Terrible tantrums

Post by Pandancake » Thu Sep 16, 2021 9:29 am

My child throws terrible tantrums when he was awakened from his sleep. He would shout & scream loudly, kicked his legs, beat his forehead hard. He is presently 3 years old & I am worried that it may be some kind of behaviour problems.
Other than that he can be quite a sweet child except for being stubborn at times.

it's natural..mine gets into a very bad mood when they wake up from an afternoon nap..reasons could be because they have not slept enough or it's just the tiredness that kicks in with this mood.

So when my kids were around 3-4 yrs, i try to take away the afternoon nap routine out and get them into other acitivities during the noon time...also because they are soon going to pri school so they have to practice the 'no sleep' routine..it's like weaning them out of milk.

it worked for me and had a good transition to pri sch. without the afternoon naps.
