Asking on behalf of a friend, what is the average cost of a full day preschool at the moment?

I think different school charges differently. You have to check with the school. Some may have subsidize if is under financial category.

For babies and toddlers, the average cost of full-time day care at a center is $972 a month. And that's average. Depending on your location and the center you choose, prices could exceed $1,500 a month per child for full-time care.

As a first-time mom, choosing which school to put my child on is a serious challenge. I've been making down the list of preschool and enrichment classes. For me, putting them in a half-day for preschool during weekdays whilst enrolling as well to 1-2 hour enrichment class on weekends would do. Making my child's time occupied by getting full-time classes won't really have good results.
